Tips on Ironing
To start off you need to use a good solid ironing board. The surface that the ironing board needs to be on has to be flat and a flat ironing cover is essential.
The iron you use is so important. Using a steam iron is best, as the steam will help iron out the particularly hard creases. For best results, start ironing while your clothes are damp.
To press pleated skirts fix pegs to the bottom of the pleats
To press a jacket sleeve roll a thick magazine and cover with a cloth. Insert it in the sleeve jackets and it will unroll to make a ironing pad.
For Trouser creases, use a piece of wet soap and rub it inside. Then iron on the right side. This will keep trousers crease in the right place.
Ensure that you iron at the correct temperature. Use the label to help guide you. There is no benefit of ironing your clothes at the highest heat as it will only damage your clothes
Look after your iron. This will not only help you from damaging your clothes, but also help keep your iron working properly for longer.
