Pillows have two or more layers of cloth so it's important to make sure all layers are flat before you begin ironing. |
Set the pillow up before you put on the iron and use your hands and fingers to ease the cloth underneath and the palms of your hands to check if it's flat all over. |

Some pillows have a reverse flap to hold the pillow case in place. If yours does turn the slip inside out flatten all the layers and iron the flap. |

Turn the cover onto its right side and hold the seam stretched and flat on the board. |

From that edge smooth the fabric back toward the back edge of the board. Once done move the pillow toward you to do the next section. |

The easiest way to smooth the fabric is to use your hands and tips of fingers to roll any excess material from the middle to the back edge and out to the sides, effectively rolling any crease over the edge. |

When you've come to the end and have the pillow flat on the board pick up the leading edge and fold it in two. Make sure it's flat then iron that half. Fold once again, this time by taking one end. Iron that side then flip the pillow over and iron again, completing the pillow case. |
