How to clean the living room

Dust mop (preferably with a long handle) Step-ladder Cleaning cloths Small bucket with handle Sponges Vacuum with attachment

1.   Grab your supplies.

This is the most important step. Having all of your supplies together before you begin means no distractions in the middle of cleaning up. Everything is handy when you need it.

2.   Tackle the couch.

Brush off the cushions. Retrieve any missing items from the depths of the couch. Brush off the dirt from the interior of the couch onto the floor.
Use a vacuum cleaner with attachment to clean out couch crevices.
 Replace and fluff the pillows.

3.   Dust down the coffee table and arrange its contents properly.

Brush off any dirt onto the floor as you will vacuum/sweep/mop before you leave. Polish.

4.   Neatly arrange the magazines and books and all other clutter in the room.

Dust down and clean all accent lamps and knickknacks in the living room.
Use a vacuum attachment or duster to clean the lampshades, lamps, and any extra decorative items.

Dust and clean all art and photographs along the walls in the living room.
Be careful when cleaning framed art and photographs. Never spray cleanser or water onto the frame. The liquid can seep behind the glass and damage the pictures. Instead lightly wet a clean cloth to wipe the frame and glass.

Clean the inside of windows

5.   Vacuum or sweep up the floor.

Move furniture if you can to ensure you clean everywhere. Don't try to vacuum the pillows and couch. Leave these more in depth items for when you have more time. Do, however, remember to get the dirt we brushed out of the interior of the couch.

6.   Put away your dust rag and vacuum or broom.

Check the room ensure you haven’t missed anything
